Furnya brand products, including Cat Cellar, are made through the collaboration of multiple experts. We spoke with veterinarian Nyantosu, who oversees the product design.
1. Please tell us about your daily work. I usually work on researching new treatments for incurable diseases in dogs and cats. At the same time, I share health and behavioral knowledge from my perspective as a veterinarian on X and Instagram, which I use to share useful information about cat health and behavior for cat owners. While I strive to save lives that cannot be saved today through cutting-edge research, in clinical practice I have also come to realize that if only owners had the right knowledge, they could have saved their lives. This is why I value both creating the future through research and protecting the present through communication.
2. What do you pay attention to when supervising CatCellar? The most important thing I consider when supervising is " thinking from a cat's perspective ." Of course, I'm not a cat, but I try to give advice that is as close to a cat's perspective as possible, taking into account their habits, behavior, and the latest research findings. Cats have many instinctive desires, such as climbing, hiding, watching, and sharpening their claws. Also, in multi-cat environments, it's important to take measures to protect each cat's personal space so that they can feel safe and comfortable. Keeping these points in mind, I make sure that the space is "safe, comfortable, and feels like it's their own " for the cats.
3. Why are you collaborating with furnya?
I thought that working with furnya would allow me to create products that are truly for cats, while also prioritizing both style and practicality. furnya identifies what cats like and turns that into a design that is easy for people to live with. I think that's why they are able to create furniture that both cats and people can live in comfortably.
4. Who is CatCellar recommended for?
CatCellar is recommended for those who want to choose products that are good for cats, and also for those who are particular about the atmosphere and design of their room. Because it does not produce much sharpening dust and lasts a long time, I think it is a product that is gentle on humans as well.
